Welcome to the DAA NYC Chapter!

The New York Chapter of the DAA is committed to building a strong analytics community in New York and making a contribution across all industries. The chapter includes leading practitioners and higher-learning institutions in the market to provide educational and professional networking opportunities to analytics professionals at all experience levels.

We offer periodic speaker events, an annual Symposium, and an open opportunity to join in and participate in the community.

Our speaker series kicked off in January 2013, and focuses on practical discussions and solutions to key problems facing analytics practitioners, including mobile, social, omni channel and the ever evolving challenges and opportunities of our universe.

We invite all DAA members and all those interested in learning more about the association to join us and participate in the association – we’re all in this together!

A regular chapter meeting schedule will be established soon, offering teleconference and in-person meeting opportunities throughout the year.

Taking the Measure of Social Media
With Chelsea Marti, Social Media Marketing Leader at ADP, Inc.
April 11, 2013

On April 11 the New York chapter hosted its second Leaders Series event of 2013. Chelsea Marti, Head of Social for ADP led a lively, question-packed session at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) that focused on ADPs' experiment/document/innovate process for social, and how she has taken a B2B marketer that pays 1 in 6 Americans into a leading role in social media.

The large audience was clearly engaged as they asked thought-provoking questions. A great feature of the event was that there was much to learn from the conversation among the experts in the audience and the way the discussion went to specific issues and solutions for social, not just generic platitudes about the channel.

We're exceptionally grateful to Chelsea and ADP for their contribution and look forward to the rest of our series of evening talks, leading up to the New York Symposium December 4.
